Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Kinetta iOS app ("Kinetta", "we") collects, why we use it and how we protect it. Kinetta is developed by Muhammet Arslan. Questions: kinetta623@gmail.com

1. Information we collect

• Account information: Your email address and password. Your password is stored in a form that can't be reversed (a scrypt hash); no one, including us, can see it. If you sign in with Apple or Google, the user ID and email address that service gives us are stored (with Apple's "Hide My Email", the relay address Apple provides).
• Videos and music you upload: The content you upload to the app, or link to, to make an edit.
• Purchase information: Purchases in the app are made through Apple, purchases on the website through Lemon Squeezy. We never see your payment or card details; we keep the transaction record sent to us (product, transaction and customer ID, subscription period) to grant your credits.
• Credit records: Your remaining credits and how many credits each edit used.

We don't track you for advertising, and we don't collect your device's location, your contacts or your whole photo library. Only the videos you pick from your photo library are accessed.

2. How we use information

• To create your account, verify your sign-in and show your edits only to you.
• To analyze your videos and make edits, clips and shortened videos.
• To manage your credits and subscription.
• To keep the service secure (for example, to block many wrong password attempts).

3. Service providers we share with

We use AI services to make edits:

• Google (Gemini): A downscaled copy of your video is sent to Google's Gemini service to understand its content (its genre, scenes and speech).
• Anthropic (Claude): Text and analysis taken from the video (for example, a transcript of the speech) is sent to Anthropic's Claude service to decide how the edit is cut.
• Modal and Neon: Our servers run on Modal (where your videos are processed and stored for at most 7 days) and your account and credit records are kept in a Neon database. Both act only on our behalf.
• Apple and Google: If you sign in with these services, they verify your identity. Purchases in the app are processed by Apple.
• Lemon Squeezy: For purchases on the website, Lemon Squeezy, LLC is the seller and payment processor; your payment details and billing email go to it and are covered by its privacy policy.

We don't sell your information and don't share it with anyone for advertising.

4. How long we keep it

• Edit files on the server (uploaded videos, intermediate files, results) are deleted automatically after at most 7 days. Videos downloaded from links are deleted within 2 days. Edits you download stay on your phone.
• Your account information and credit records are kept until you delete your account.
• A nightly backup of the account database is kept for 14 days, to recover from errors, and then deleted.
• The files of a cancelled edit are deleted right away.

5. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app with Profile → Delete account. Your account, all your edits on the server and your credit records are deleted permanently; copies in the nightly backups disappear within 14 days. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately in your App Store account settings so you're no longer charged.

6. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, sessions are protected with random keys and every request is authorized against your account. No system is completely risk-free; if we notice a security problem, we'll let you know.

7. Children

Kinetta is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

8. Your rights

You can write to us to access your information or to have it corrected or deleted. Your rights under Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 and, in the European Union, under the GDPR are not affected.

9. Changes

If we update this policy, we change the date on this page; we also announce important changes in the app.
